‘Windfall’ Finnigan Hill Vineyard Pinot Noir

Finnigan Hill is a woman-owned and operated site located high in the Chehalem Mountains. The property has a rich history, having functioned as a farm and orchard for over 100 years before becoming a vineyard. The Pinot Noir block we work with was planted in 2007. It is our highest-elevation fruit source, grown in windblown loess over volcanic uplift.

The name 'Windfall' references the remaining old orchard trees; their beautiful fruit gently falls during the autumn breezes, around the same time as the grape harvest.

The wines produced from this vineyard are distinctively Oregon Pinot Noir: lifted, lithe, focused, and complex. This particular bottling of 'Windfall' represents our favorite barrel in the cellar from Finnigan Hill, bottled on its own to showcase the unique character of this special place.
