The Long Game Chardonnay

‘The Long Game’ Chardonnay is sourced from Marin Estate Vineyard, a truly unique site that challenges conventional wisdom of winemaking.

While common belief favors old, high-elevation sites, Marin Estate is neither. It features young vines planted in a diverse mix of marine sediment, volcanic, and alluvial soils. The Chardonnay blocks are composed of unique clonal material, farmed entirely by hand and without irrigation.

Our 'The Long Game' Chardonnay is a blend of two specific clones from this site. The fruit was direct-pressed into older French oak barrels and spontaneously fermented. Recognizing the special quality of these wines immediately after fermentation began, we selected our favorite barrel and gave it an additional six months of aging compared to our standard Willamette Valley Chardonnay.

It was bottled unfined and unfiltered to preserve its exceptional character.
