THE FOSSIL & FAWN TASTING EXPERIENCE

Join us for private tasting appointments, in conversation with the winemakers over a selection of Fossil & Fawn wines. Depending on the season or location, the wine tasting will include limited current releases, library offerings, or sampling from select barrels. The fee is $30 per wine-tasting guest, and each fee is refundable with a $75 purchase.

Note: We’re a two-person operation and do not have regular tasting room hours, so all visits are subject to availability. We are happy to accommodate requests as we are able, year-round, seven days a week. Please contact us!

Fossil & Fawn at No Clos Radio

When visiting wine country or heading to the coast, make us your first stop at No Clos Radio, our winery production space located on the wooded western edge of the Tualatin Hills, just outside Forest Grove, Oregon (about a 45 minute west drive from Portland). The winery is situated on the historic Shafer estate, one of the Willamette Valley’s oldest vineyard sites, planted in 1974. Weather permitting, tastings at No Clos Radio include a short tour of the winery, cellar, and original vineyard block.

Please note that during the summer (June-September), the No Clos Radio Cafe is open Friday-Sunday. Seasonal fare, as well as wines by the glass or bottle are available for enjoyment on site. Cafe operations are separate from the Fossil & Fawn Tasting Experience; however, we encourage guests to come taste with us and stay for a hoagie and a glass.

Fossil & Fawn — Portland Tasting Studio NOW OPEN

For those looking for a wine tasting without the drive, we invite you to our live-work space located in the heart of Northwest Portland’s Alphabet District. A little bit like a speakeasy, you have to find the entrance tucked behind the dive bar in the alley next to the bagel shop.
Occupying the upper stories of a historic streetcar-era building that were converted into artist lofts in the 1980s, the space was given a full architect-designed renovation in the early 2000s. Airy and light-filled and befitting of its most recent history as an art studio, come see original paintings and photographs by the winemakers on display.

The Tasting Studio is highly transit-accessible, with Portland Streetcar and Tri-Met bus stops less than a block from our door. We’re about a 30 minute walk from downtown and the West End. On-street metered parking is available.
