Our Thoughts: We produced this wine in collaboration with our friends Nicole Sakai and Truen Pence, who own Portland’s coolest Airbnb and event space, the Sorta Summer House. It’s a carriage house converted into your vintage-Japanese-Scandinavian-spa fantasy, surrounded by grape vines and fruit trees, replete with its own outdoor shower and Finnish sauna. The wine is, of course, best enjoyed at Sorta Summer House, but short of that, we made the wine to evoke the feeling of being there even when you’re not. Entirely skin-fermented Pinot blanc, Chardonnay, and Gewürztraminer provides the vibe of a summer sunset, while notes of rose petals, Citra hops, and yellow peaches mirror the scents and flavors of the gardens and farmers markets throughout the city.
